OC Bridges - 5 Grade Separations - Engineering Plan Check and Design Review

Athalye Consulting provided plan check and design review services to OCTA for the OC Bridges Program which consisted of the following 5 grade separations along Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Company (BNSF) rail corridor in the cities of Placentia, Fullerton, and Anaheim: Placentia Ave Undercrossing, Kraemer Ave Undercrossing, Orangethorpe Ave Overcrossing, Tustin-Rose Overcrossing and Lakeview Ave Overcrossing.

My responsibilities included: Coordinating and monitoring design review and plan check for conformance with set policies and standards. Review and comment on plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E); and bridge, retaining walls, utilities, and right of way (ROW) plans. Perform site investigation to identify pre-existing site conditions and physical project constraints. Provide document control: track incoming and outgoing submittals, update spreadsheets, databases, and FTP site; and maintain project files per OCTA’s filing system. Coordinate with sub-consultants and provide IT support.
